The Mission to Seafarers Singapore – Pre-Centenary Celebration Dinner

4 December 2025 | Goodwood Park Hotel

The Mission to Seafarers Singapore (MtSS) marked a significant milestone in its journey towards a century of service with a Pre-Centenary Celebration Dinner held on 4 December 2025 at the historic Goodwood Park Hotel. The evening brought together distinguished guests, valued partners, and long-standing friends of the Mission to reflect on our shared commitment to the welfare of seafarers and to give thanks for nearly 100 years of faithful service.

We were deeply honoured by the presence of our Guest of Honour, Mr Ang Wee Keong, Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). His encouragement and affirmation of MtSS’s work underscored the importance of holistic care for seafarers within Singapore’s maritime ecosystem.

The evening was further enriched by the attendance of the Ambassadors of Vietnam and Rwanda, as well as representatives from the United States Coast Guard. Their presence was a powerful reminder of the truly international nature of seafaring and the global solidarity required to care for those who spend their lives at sea.

MtSS also extends its sincere appreciation to our many friends and partners from across the maritime industry, including MPA, PSA, Jurong Port, SMOU, SOS / Seacare, SMF, SCMA, ICS, and representatives from the wider shipping and maritime community. Your continued partnership and steadfast support enable us to reach seafarers where they are—offering practical assistance, pastoral care, and a place of welcome and rest.

We are especially grateful to the church leadership and members who have faithfully journeyed with MtSS over the decades. Your prayers, encouragement, and partnership have been a steady anchor for the Mission, sustaining our work and vision through changing times and challenges.

As we look ahead to our 100th Anniversary, this Pre-Centenary Dinner served not only as a celebration of the past, but also as a reaffirmation of our calling. MtSS remains committed to caring for the men and women who keep global trade moving—often unseen, yet essential to the world we live in.

Thank you to everyone who stood with us on this meaningful evening and who continues to walk alongside us on this journey.

Together, we care for those who work at sea.
